A stimulating place to work

Aspect is all about its people.

As well as being a fantastic opportunity for personal growth, a career at Aspect also represents an exciting chance to help shape the future of systematic investment. We recruit talented people who are intellectually ambitious, curious to learn and who are team players. In return, we provide a truly unique culture: we care about our people and work hard to ensure that they fulfil their potential.

We are an equal opportunities employer and wholeheartedly believe in the benefits of a diverse workforce. We therefore welcome applications regardless of race, gender, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age. We are committed to providing a collegiate, equitable and ambitious working environment in which we treat each other with respect, provide equal opportunities to all and reward achievement fairly, regardless of gender, race, religious belief, age, disability, sexual orientation or social background.

Flexibility is a given from day one. Our Flexible Working Policy has been in place for a number of years as we know how important flexibility is for your mental health. Our hope is that our policy helps you manage your work-life balance, giving you the opportunity to spend more time doing things you enjoy (or just picking up the kids from school). That said, we love our office and truly believe in the importance of face to face collaboration and contact with colleagues in keeping our culture what it is. As with all things, it’s about balance, we advise that you work from the office at least 3 days a week and for the remaining days you’ll do whatever you feel is the most productive way of working for you.

We subsidise social and sporting events throughout the year, have a well stocked kitchen, excellent benefits, including enhanced Maternity Leave, and a dedicated Charity committee.

If you have any concerns that might stop you from applying, don’t hesitate drop us an email and we will answer any questions you might have.

Our tools and processes are designed to ensure we produce software of the highest quality and deliver it to production safely and efficiently. For example, we have built a highly automated continuous integration, continuous delivery and automated testing system using Git and TeamCity that we are constantly evolving.

The development process is agile, highly collaborative and focuses heavily on continuous improvement. Daily stand-ups, retrospectives, pairing and TDD are standard. We are always experimenting with new technologies, techniques and ways of working. We hone our craft by participating in and hosting software community events. We also attend conferences and engage directly with thought-leaders in various technical disciplines.
